Copilot Release Notes for Version 2.0 March 7, 2007 For problems, suggestions, comments, and help, visit http://www.spyderchat.com and search for "Copilot Download" topic. Bug fixes: 1. Fixed bug in display of VVT diff as percent. 2. When Inj cells (which may or may not come from New Inj map) were pasted into the Target AFR map, the "Target AFR Edit causes change in" option was not being considered before this bug fix. New Features: 1. If one or more cells are selected in a map that can be edited, the values can be "bumped" (increased or decreased by 1 for integers, 0.1 for real numbers) by pressing the up/down arrow or +/- keys (shift is not required). Cell protection is enforced (you cannot "bump" a protected cell). For the Target AFR map, "bumping" counts as an edit, so the Base and/or Inj map may be affected, depending upon what is selected for the "Target AFR Edit causes change in" option. 2. A check box was added to the Setup tab to enable/disable automatically writing new maps when one or more cell is "bumped". It is unchecked when the program is installed. Like other settings, it retains its value from one program run to the next. When the box is checked and you "bump" a cell or group of cells, the map is written to the Power FC (if connected, data acquisition not in progress, and any other requirements for writing maps are met). 3. Added "sanity checks" on data received from the Power FC. Data which fails various tests for reasonableness will be reported in the message log, but not used by the program. 4. Added curve editing. Later I will make the window resizable, add a Write PFC button, allow auto-writing, etc. I am keeping it simple for now in case there are bugs. For now, you can view or edit (only view if in Replay mode) 2 or more cells in the same row and any number of rows, up to the complete map in an X-Y plot. The X axis is RPM (note: New Map Reference is used if it is valid, otherwise the current Map Reference is used). The Y axis is the value in the cell. A "curve" is the points in a row or part of a row. Any protected points in the area of the map selected for curve editing will show up as blue dots and cannot be edited. Unprotected points can be clicked and dragged up/down or edited using the text boxes. Also, the last point that was clicked can be "bumped" using the keyboard. Buttons include Apply, Undo, Cancel, and OK. Curves can be copied and pasted (protection is observed when pasting). After Apply (or OK with Apply button enabled), changes should show up in whatever map was selected (New Base, New Inj, Target AFR, Ign (leading or trailing), or VVT. 5. Changed the way AFR, Inj, and VVT map color-coding is done so that small changes are more noticable. Notes: 1. As of today (March 7), I have only tested this working offline. I don't like to release untested software, but I have a lot more work to do and not enough time.
